FP&A & Control Internship

Road is seeking an FP&A & Control Intern to join its Finance team in Amsterdam. The intern will gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement, while working on an independent improvement project. Candidates must be enrolled in a Finance, Accounting, or Economics degree and available 32-40 hours per week for 4-6 months starting February 2027.

What you'll do

Support month-end closing activities, gaining practical experience in how financial transactions are processed, reconciled and reported.
Assist with reviewing financial data, identifying discrepancies and understanding how financial controls are designed, documented and implemented to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities, learning how financial plans are developed, monitored and used to support business decisions.
Prepare reports and analyses, identify trends and translate financial data into meaningful insights.
Gain hands-on experience with NetSuite, our financial management system, and learn how financial information is managed within an international organisation.
Analyse and document existing financial processes, identify opportunities for improvement and explore how automation and AI can make workflows more efficient.
Take ownership of a finance-related project, applying your academic knowledge and research skills to develop practical recommendations and present your findings to the team.
