QuantWare is seeking an R&D Software Engineer to bring production-grade software and data practices to their quantum processor measurement work. The role involves managing measurement data, improving measurement software, and collaborating with physicists and engineers. Requires an MSc and 3+ years of industry experience with strong Python skills.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain how R&D measurement data and metadata are stored, linking each device to its related tests, components, and setup history
Turn measurement prototypes from experimental physicists and RF test engineers into robust, tested, maintainable code
Maintain the R&D measurement codebase for VIO devices, their components, and PCM test vehicles
Review, refactor, and maintain modular Python code following modern software practices
Work day-to-day with experimental physicists, RF test engineers and electrical engineers to improve their measurement code
Connect R&D with the software team in Product to bring in best practices
Own R&D software functionality through validation, review, and integration
