Ohpen is seeking a Data Governance & Data Management Engineer to join its Data team in Amsterdam. The role focuses on designing and improving a data governance platform, supporting client implementations, and contributing to the data lake and data products. Requires 4+ years of data governance, data management, or data architecture experience, proficiency in Dutch and English, and strong Python, SQL, Terraform, and AWS skills.

What you'll do

Design, implement, and improve the data governance platform, including metadata, lineage, and data definitions
Populate and maintain governance artifacts using modern tooling and AI-assisted solutions
Act as a subject matter expert in data governance during client implementations and discovery phases
Engage with clients on data lineage, lifecycle management, and data quality
Contribute to the development of the data lake and expand data products
Unlock new data sources and deliver high-quality, near real-time data
Facilitate data stewardship practices and resolve data modeling challenges
Improve data ownership, definitions, and consistency across teams
Collaborate on business key standardization, code table harmonization, data modeling governance, and API design consistency
