Marex is seeking a Data Scientist (Operations) to join its Algo and Flow department in Amsterdam. The role focuses on designing automated tooling, workflows, and dashboards to support trading operations, requiring strong Python and SQL skills and 1-6 years of experience in financial markets operations.

What you'll do

Partner with Trading, Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams to resolve issues and enhance operational workflows.
Design, build, and maintain tools, dashboards, and automated controls that support operational processes and decision-making.
Identify opportunities to automate and improve processes, driving implementation in collaboration with engineering teams.
Take end-to-end ownership of operational processes, ensuring they are scalable, well-controlled, and perform reliably in day-to-day operations.
Manage end-to-end trade lifecycle processes across cash equities, listed and OTC derivatives, and structured products.
Perform daily reconciliations of trades, positions, and cash, investigating and resolving exceptions in a timely manner.
Monitor trading activity and operational systems during market hours, ensuring stability and prompt issue resolution.
Support transaction reporting processes, ensuring data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the FCA, NFA, AMF, AFM, MAS.
Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
At all times complying with the FCA’s Code of Conduct
To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility
