JDE Peet's is seeking an R&D Sensory Analytics & R Development Intern at its international headquarters in Utrecht, starting March 2027. The intern will work at the intersection of sensory science, statistics, and programming, enhancing R/Shiny applications for sensory data analysis. Candidates should be enrolled in a BSc or MSc program in Data Science, Food Science, or Sensory Science with a statistics background, and have experience in R programming.

What you'll do

Improve and maintain existing R/Shiny applications used by sensory scientists globally
Develop new analytical features based on scientists' needs
Develop automated reports and visualizations
Build user-friendly interfaces for complex statistical analysis
Test & validate the analytical tools
Analyze data using statistical techniques
Discover and contribute to the day to day of Sensory and Consumer Science teams at JDE Peet's
