GroundIQ, part of Fugro, is seeking a Scientific Product Engineer to bridge science and product development by turning scientific research, algorithms, and models into reliable software solutions for engineers. The role requires a strong academic background, 4+ years of software product experience, and expertise in Python and scientific computing, based in Nootdorp with hybrid work.

What you'll do

Translate scientific research, algorithms, and prototypes into reliable product features that deliver value to engineers
Own features end-to-end, from defining problems and validating solutions to measuring real-world impact
Collaborate with users and stakeholders to understand needs, prioritise development, and ensure scientific rigor where it matters most
Work across the technology stack, from frontend and backend development to cloud infrastructure, scientific computing, and machine learning
Optimise and scale solutions, including performance-critical components where required
Leverage AI-powered tools to enhance development speed, quality, and productivity
Balance scientific excellence with product delivery, while actively sharing knowledge and supporting team growth
