Internship in Chemical Substances Management at Frencken in Eindhoven, focused on building and completing COSHH documentation for hazardous substances used on-site. The intern will work with EHS, Production, and Quality teams to improve hazardous material management and compliance.

What you'll do

Identify chemical substances used in production, maintenance, warehouses, and laboratories
Consolidate information from ERP purchasing lists, warehouse locations, production lines, and SDS archives
Create a comprehensive master list
Collect or request Safety Data Sheets (SDS) from suppliers
Extract relevant information from SDS
Prepare COSHH assessments
Validate assessments with EHS and relevant process owners
Identify gaps in hazardous material management
Prioritize findings using a structured approach
Translate findings into improvement proposals using the Hierarchy of Controls methodology
Develop recommendations related to chemical approval and introduction processes
Develop recommendations related to documentation ownership and governance
Develop recommendations related to storage and segregation practices
Develop recommendations related to labeling standards and workplace instructions
Develop recommendations related to training and awareness initiatives
Create an implementation package consisting of templates, checklists, workflow proposals, and recommended next steps
