Cyber Security Engineer

Damen Naval is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to develop secure cyber designs for frigates throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires at least five years of experience in complex IT or OT systems, strong networking and security knowledge, and proficiency in German and English. The position is based in Vlissingen, Zeeland, Netherlands, with remote work options.

What you'll do

Contribute to the engineering process by developing the required deliverables, such as specification documents, functional descriptions, schematic drawings and security concepts.
Participate in discussions of experts in IT security, OT security, emission security and physical security.
Contribute to the test and verification plans for security measures.
Participate in design checks and reviews to guarantee the required Cybersecurity standards.
Verify technical performance of vendors and subcontractors.
Perform technical analysis on received offers, in close cooperation with the Purchase department.
Ensure full compliance to all applicable requirements and specifications, imposed by Class and the customer.
Work with vendors and subcontractors to get their timely contribution to the project.
Contribute to the further development of the E&A Engineering department.
