Senior Backend Engineer - Low Latency
Bitvavo is expanding its core backend teams and seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to design and implement cutting-edge low latency, high throughput services for its digital assets trading platform. The role involves architecture decisions, performance benchmarking, and production incident response, requiring 5+ years of development experience and strong JVM/OS knowledge, preferably in Kotlin.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with Engineering Manager, Staff Engineer and the team to craft highly performant, low latency and high throughput services
- Dive into technical challenges, building solutions to guarantee peak performance across systems with focus on measurements and benchmarking
- Actively participate in pivotal decisions on technology stacks and architecture
- Participate in operational rotations to resolve incidents in the production environment
