Senior Software Engineer, Flight control / Drones
Avy is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own flight control and state estimation software for its PX4-based autonomous drones. The role requires deep expertise in control theory, embedded systems, and C/C++, with a focus on improving drone stability, reliability, and endurance. You will work on real aircraft, coach engineers, and contribute to life-saving emergency service missions.
What you'll do
- Own the flight control and state estimation software on the PX4-based autopilot, including control loops for hover, transition, and fixed-wing flight.
- Improve stability, reliability, performance, and endurance by working on control loops, low-level firmware, and hardware interfaces.
- Analyze flight logs and data to find root causes of anomalies and implement software or aircraft improvements.
