Senior Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure
Senior Software Engineer needed to own data infrastructure for a fast-growing algorithmic trading firm in Amsterdam. Requires 5+ years building production data infrastructure, proficiency in Rust or C/C++, and hands-on experience with Kafka, NATS, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and/or Iceberg. Remote role with full relocation package.
What you'll do
- Architect the ingest path for exchange and internal trading data
- Run the streaming layer on Kafka and NATS
- Build real-time aggregation and long-term storage across PostgreSQL, ClickHouse and Iceberg
- Own capacity, retention, schema evolution and failure behaviour end to end
