Adyen is seeking a People Technology Application Engineer in Amsterdam to lead application and integration engineering for the People organization. The role involves designing custom applications, API middleware, and system integrations across Workday and enterprise tools, requiring 5+ years of software engineering experience with Python, React, and API technologies.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and maintain custom applications, programmatic API integrations, webhooks, and middleware connecting Workday HCM with Greenhouse, Qualtrics, Docebo, Slack, and internal platforms
Build custom app extensions and tailored UI/UX workflows utilizing Workday Extend, Python frameworks, and modern low-code/no-code platforms
Automate operational friction by eliminating point-to-point manual processes and technical debt; research, prototype, and deploy automated workflows and custom AI agents
Embed strict access controls, data security, and compliance (GDPR) into all software architectures
Establish clear software engineering practices, API specifications, and maintainable technical documentation
Collaborate closely with Core People Tech specialists, Data Engineers, Security, and HR functional leads to translate complex business needs into clean technical solutions
