Xero is seeking a Capability Development Partner to establish and lead capability development in Product & Technology, partnering with engineering, product, design, security, and data science teams. The role focuses on building frameworks, upskilling programmes, and internal mobility pathways to help 2,600+ P&T professionals grow faster and accelerate their careers.

What you'll do

Establish and lead capability development in Product & Technology
Partner with leaders to architect frameworks that enable specialists to evolve their skills
Build a high-performance capability culture aligned with company strategy
Focus on measurable outcomes like delivery velocity, retention, internal mobility, and time-to-productivity
Collaborate with senior leaders across Product, Design, Engineering, and People Experience to identify capability gaps
Design solutions that stick
Build the Capability Framework for Product & Technology, mapping technical and behavioural skills aligned with business OKRs
Design upskilling programmes around AI/ML and emerging technologies
Create internal mobility pathways
Establish success metrics beyond completion rates
