Asset Data and Performance Analyst

Western Power is seeking an Asset Data and Performance Analyst in Perth CBD to analyse asset performance data, identify trends, and improve data processes using automation and scripting. The role requires a degree in Information Systems Management, Business Analysis or related, experience in data and performance analysis ideally within utilities, and programming skills in SQL, R, Python/NLP.

What you'll do

Analyse asset performance data to identify current and emerging trends, turning complex information into meaningful insights that support decision-making.
Validate asset failures and their impacts, drawing together accurate and auditable information from multiple systems and data sources.
Develop dashboards and performance insights that support SMEs and contribute to Asset Performance Quarterly Reporting.
Investigate data discrepancies across corporate information systems and help ensure accurate and reliable information for internal and regulatory reporting.
Use logic, scripting and programming to automate and improve existing validation processes, reducing manual effort and improving consistency.
Support technical investigations, including information required for customer claims, Ministerial complaints and asset performance analysis.
Contribute to Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) reviews and the ongoing improvement of failure validation processes.
Partner with technical specialists and stakeholders to understand their needs and develop practical, robust data solutions.
Look for opportunities to continuously improve the way data, tools and processes are used across the team.
