Data Engineer needed for a growing data team in Sydney/Melbourne on a 9-month hybrid contract. Requires strong hands-on dbt experience, SQL skills, and cloud data warehouse expertise to deliver data solutions supporting commercial and product requirements.

What you'll do

Building and evolving dbt models and data pipelines to support business requirements.
Developing and maintaining data models across a modern cloud data environment.
Helping evolve Looker models and Explores, where applicable.
Working with stakeholders to understand the underlying business problem and translate this into practical data solutions.
Contributing to the definition of data engineering and data lifecycle standards.
Supporting the development of semantic layers and consistent business metrics.
Working alongside analytics, product and engineering teams to deliver trusted, usable data.
Contributing to the team's evolving approach to conversational analytics and AI-enabled ways of working.
Identifying opportunities to improve the way data is modelled, accessed and consumed.
