Quantium is seeking a Senior Data Scientist - AI Technical Solutions in Melbourne to design and deliver production-grade generative AI applications for major Australian organisations. The role requires 5+ years of experience in data science, AI/ML development or technical consulting, with hands-on expertise in LLMs, Python, cloud platforms, and a consultative mindset.
What you'll do
- Take end-to-end ownership of production-grade GenAI and LLM applications, from initial design through to client handover, using Python and frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph
- Make informed decisions on the right approach for each problem, whether classical ML, LLM prompts, workflows or agents, and architect cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure or GCP
- Design evaluation frameworks and observability metrics, and build the APIs and data pipelines (SQL, DBT, orchestration tools) that keep solutions reliable in production
