Pepperstone is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer - Product Engineering to provide senior technical leadership across client-facing products, reporting to the CTO. The role requires extensive experience in large-scale software systems, hands-on coding, and AI-native engineering, with a focus on trading platforms, mobile apps, and APIs.
What you'll do
- Shape our technical direction: Define the multi-year architecture for our client-facing products, including our trading platform, WebTrader, mobile apps, Client Area, payments and websites. You'll help teams navigate complex technical trade-offs and align around a clear direction
- Stay hands-on with our toughest engineering challenges: Work directly on our most critical systems, writing production code and prototyping new approaches. You'll take the lead on complex challenges across performance, reliability, large-scale migrations and systemic quality
- Lead and shape AI-native engineering: Use AI coding and agent tools in your day-to-day work and help establish the patterns, workflows and guardrails that enable our product teams to do the same. You'll also help shape AI-powered features that deliver meaningful value for our clients
