Senior Software Engineer - AI Team

Nuix is growing a new AI engineering team in Sydney to own Enrich, an AI data-enrichment product, and build new AI and agentic capability into the Nuix Neo platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take features from design to done, raise the bar on non-functional quality, and mentor junior engineers. Requires 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend Java and Spring, and/or React/TypeScript.

What you'll do

Own end-to-end delivery of significant features and epics — design, build, test and ship.
Bring greater awareness of non-functional requirements (security, performance, DevOps) and ensure architecture principles are followed.
Provide thoughtful, pragmatic code review on complex PRs, capturing security concerns and ensuring secure-by-design practices.
Set and refine code best practices; help maintain and improve QA gates.
Be active in architecture discussions — asking questions, challenging approaches, contributing to target state.
Drive collaboration within the team and communicate effectively across teams and geographies.
Mentor and support mid-level, associate and graduate engineers.
Contribute to how we design, evaluate and ship AI agents and agentic capability in the platform.
