NCS Australia is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer specializing in AI and Conversational Systems in Sydney. The role involves building production-grade conversational interfaces and generative AI features using platforms like Vertex AI, Dialogflow CX, and AgentStudio, alongside modern frontend and backend technologies. Requires deep experience in React, Node.js/TypeScript, Java, and AI evaluation, with full Australian working rights.

What you'll do

Design and build intelligent agent workflows, conversational flows, and generative AI features using Dialogflow CX, Vertex AI, AgentStudio, and advanced prompt/context engineering techniques.
Develop high-performance, responsive user interfaces using React, Vite, Tailwind CSS, and Storybook, integrating WebSockets for real-time conversational and CoPilot streaming capabilities.
Build and maintain scalable backend services and API layers (Node.js/TypeScript, Java, Apigee) to support secure, low-latency communication between front-end applications and AI model providers.
Implement robust evaluation, testing, and monitoring frameworks for AI-enabled features—focusing on accuracy, response latency, guardrails, prompt regression, and handling non-deterministic model behaviour.
Partner with product managers, AI architects, UX designers, and platform engineers to deliver secure, production-ready AI capabilities at enterprise scale.
