H2O.ai is seeking a Senior Data Scientist in Sydney to deliver predictive and generative AI solutions for enterprise clients across APAC. The role requires 4+ years of data science experience, strong Python and ML skills, and client-facing communication abilities.

What you'll do

Partner with stakeholders to deliver data-driven AI/ML solutions across industries such as banking, insurance, retail, healthcare, and manufacturing.
Build, validate, and deploy predictive ML models for forecasting, classification, optimisation, and anomaly detection.
Apply statistical and ML techniques (regression, trees, ensembles, time series, clustering) based on business needs.
Explore GenAI approaches where relevant, including LLMs, SLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, and basic agentic workflows.
Perform end-to-end data science work including data exploration, feature engineering, modelling, evaluation, and interpretation.
Translate model outputs into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Collaborate with engineering teams on model productionisation.
