EPAM is seeking a Lead AI QA Automation Engineer in Sydney to own and evolve the test automation strategy. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in Playwright and AI-first automation tools, plus experience applying AI/LLM to QA workflows and scaling automation frameworks in CI/CD pipelines.

What you'll do

Lead the design, architecture, and continuous improvement of test automation approach across Playwright and AI-first tools
Champion the use of AI tools and techniques to increase automation coverage and reduce manual test creation effort
Set technical standards and best practices for automation, code review, CI/CD integration, and quality gates
Partner with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to strengthen quality engineering practices
Support presales and consultative activities for client engagements across Australia
Provide technical guidance on QA automation strategy, tooling, and AI-enabled testing approaches
