dentsu is seeking a Director, AI Engineering to establish AI engineering as a discipline and build a portfolio of AI-driven marketing products. The role is a permanent, hybrid position based in Sydney or Melbourne, operating as an individual contributor and foundational leader. Candidates need expert knowledge of designing, evaluating and running AI systems in production, plus strong software engineering and cloud foundations.
What you'll do
- Lead the development of AI-powered products, platforms and capabilities that drive commercial growth and competitive differentiation
- Define AI engineering standards, architecture patterns and technical strategy across dentsu
- Design, build and deploy production ready AI systems including LLM applications, agentic workflows and intelligent automation solutions
