Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 10–15 Failure Analysis Engineers (FAEs) performing technical defect analysis on production failures of complex high-tech products
- Set the technical direction and standards, coach and challenge FAEs, and create an environment for continuous expertise development
- Play an important role in hiring new FAEs and provide technical input on FAE performance and development to Team Leaders
- Assess and challenge the technical knowledge, capabilities, and potential of candidates during hiring
- Provide technical input to support decisions on contract extensions, promotions, and career progression for existing FAEs
- Contribute to service readiness for new products by reviewing available diagnostics, test capabilities, tools, and accessories
- Communicate identified gaps to the relevant product teams
