Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain automated tests for embedded software and integrated satellite systems.
- Develop test software, scripts, simulators and test infrastructure using Python, C/C++ and other appropriate tools.
- Test how embedded software, electronics, communication interfaces and ground systems work together.
- Perform software, integration and system-level testing on engineering models and flight hardware.
- Develop and use Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test environments where appropriate.
- Analyse logs, telemetry, test results and system behaviour to identify and investigate failures.
- Debug failures and work with software, electronics and systems engineers to determine root causes and verify fixes.
- Translate software and system requirements into test cases and verification procedures.
- Develop and maintain regression tests as software and hardware evolve.
- Prepare test procedures and document test results, anomalies and verification evidence.
- Contribute to improving and scaling our automated testing and verification approach.
- Support system integration and verification activities throughout the development and test lifecycle of satellite missions.
